Phuket Weddings and Events (previously Sea & Sand Events Phuket) was founded in 2007 by two Swedes, Maria Molyneux and Lena Ramsay. In 2009 Peter Molyneux joined as business increased and more catering events were organised.

Maria has lived in Stockholm, New York, London, Sri Lanka, and in the South of France and in Spain but it was in Phuket she finally found her paradise six years ago. She used to work in Investment Banking in New York and London and whilst in New York she spent the summers organizing parties in The Hamptons, Long Island. Her professionalism and previous experiences help to ensure that no detail is left out and all your dreams are fulfilled

Peter moved to Phuket in 1999 after 20 years travelling around the world as a private chef for businessmen, tycoons and celebrities cooking in their various villas and on their yachts. His appreciation of the Thai cuisine together with his love for the island convinced him to stay and pursue his passion for cooking. For the past 10 years he has been involved in his own private catering business and as an adviser to restaurants. He was trained at the Ritz in Paris where he worked with the legendary chef Guy Legay.

His innovative approach to local cuisine combined with his classical schooling and passion will ensure a truly memorable culinary experience.

Lena who is working on a consultancy basis, is another globetrotter. After spending time in Africa, the Caribbean, The Middle East, North America, Europe she now resides on beautiful Phuket in Thailand, country number nine. Lena has worked as a marketing manager in several different industries. Organising events has always given her great joy as she loves the creative aspects of event planning - nothing is impossible!

Miss Pikulngam Thitha (Maew) hails from Phuket and her knowledge of local customs, Buddhist ceremonies and business practices combined with her fluency in Thai and English helps to ensure the smooth, trouble free running of any event.

Wanvisa Wainam (Boo) is originally from Bangkok where she studied design. Her love of the sea and fresh air together with Phuket's eclectic mix of nationalities and arts made her move here a natural one. Boo is instrumental in the creation of many of our individual design requests and the day to day running of the company.
